Adriaen van Utrecht (Antwerp 1599– 1652) was a Flemish painter recognized mostly for his superb reception study in still lives, video game and fruit study in still lives, fruitgarlands, market and also kitchen scenes as well as representations of real-time fowl in farmyards. His paintings, especially the hunting and game pieces, show the impact of Frans Snyders. Both musicians are taken into consideration the primary creators of the style of the pronkstillevens, i.e. still lifes that emphasised wealth by showing a diversity of things, fruits, blossoms as well as dead video game, typically with each other with living animals and people. Van Utrecht also repainted a variety of flower still lifes. He was a routine collaborator with leading Antwerp painters that had been pupils or aides of Peter Paul Rubens, such as Jacob Jordaens, David Teniers the Younger, Erasmus Quellinus II, Gerard Seghers, Theodoor Rombouts, Abraham van Diepenbeeck and Thomas Willeboirts Bosschaert.
