How to Optimize Your Brain-Body Function & Health

How to Optimize Your Brain-Body Function & Health

This episode I explain exactly how the organs of the body influence the function and wellness of our brain and how our brain manages our bodily organs. The aware awareness of this brain-body discussion is called interoception. I describe just how two factors- mechanical forces (e.g., pressure, discomfort, volume, etc) and chemical variables (e.g., intestine acidity, microbiome variety, etc) combine to influence our state of minds, control inflammation, body immune system, recovery from injury and more. I discuss just how certain actions of our lungs, diaphragm, spleen, and heart, control our brain via the vagus nerve and various other neural paths. I explain 11 science-supported procedures for improving brain-body wellness and the reasoning behind them.
