n this video clip, I break down what I consider to be the basics of physical fitness. These are things we have to train if we want to call ourselves “fit.” Also mores if we wish to maximise our efficiency.
To me, this is among the large misconceptions surrounding physical fitness: that you can merely start a stamina training program which will certainly take care of your health and wellness or make you an awesome athlete. Others might take up running, or a class like yoga.
All these things are wonderful! But the body is qualified of numerous things and has a lot of features. We need to nurture it in several means to perform our best – we need to focus on wheelchair, stamina, AND endurance.
It also goes much deeper than that. And what regarding health or cognitive performance?
Once more, we need to look after all these points. Not only because an obvious shortage in any location will certainly leave you vulnerable to injury … not just since it will certainly be a large space in your performance … but also because each of these qualities builds on the others.
As I’ve discovered recently: there is no such point as toughness without mobility. There is no such point as stamina without endurance. All strength needs a little endurance and all endurance requires a little toughness. They are not different points: they are different points on a spectrum.
This is all obtaining a little bit abstract, which is why this video exists to detail the things that you MUST train to get a full and well rounded performance.
My verdicts? It’s … a great deal. Nigh impossible.
There ARE means. The trick is to quit stressing so much regarding being the best in any kind of one location. To quit bothering with “optimising.” Rather, we just aim to provide the body with as much differed stimulation as feasible, as frequently as possible.
This video clip acts as a little a summary of my ideas and my training to this factor. I thought it would be fun to include highlights from the last year. It’s been a remarkable one and I have even extra amazing stuff being available in 2025!
