Harry Epworth Allen (1894– 1958) was a painter, especially in tempera, particularly of Derbyshire. Birthed in Sheffield, Allen attended King Edward VII School for young boys, then ended up being a staff in the steel jobs of Arthur Balfour, in his extra time participating in Sheffield Technical School of Art. Memorial show at Graves Art Gallery, Sheffield, in 1959, which in 1986 held an event of his ornamental works, and excursion.
