Fortunino Matania(1881-1963)additionally called Chevalier Fortunino Matania, was an Italian illustrator best recognized for his detailed and sensible depictions of World War I trench war and historical subjects. “The public demanded it,” he once said, showing the general public rate of interest in his job. Born in 1881 in Naples, Italy, Matania moved to London, England, where he developed his career.
