Fortunino Matania – Part 3


Fortunino Matania (1881-1963) also recognized as Chevalier Fortunino Matania, was an Italian illustrator best understood for his practical and detailed depictions of World War I trench warfare and historic subjects. “The public required it,” he when said, mirroring the general public interest in his work. Birthed in 1881 in Naples, Italy, Matania transferred to London, England, where he developed his occupation. He was affected by his papa, Eduardo Matania, and functioned mostly in the tool of illustration.This is Part 3 of a 5-part series on the works
