The proprietor of Blu Canoe, a Southern California store including vintage discovers and work by independent makers, Kelley has invested years gathering furniture, art, fabrics, and objects that offer each area its own sense of history. American cupboards with magnificently aged paint, Swedish furnishings, Japanese textiles, and Native American carpets are split together with contemporary lights and clean-lined furnishings.
A thoughtful remodelling opened the home’s living and eating spaces, presented architectural information like recovered factory home windows and antique château doors, and changed the kitchen right into a diligent space with an enchanting, unfitted feeling.
Outdoors, a series of intimate terraces and a crushed rock yard filled up with olive trees supply peaceful places to review, captivate, and take pleasure in the Southern California climate.
