Conifer Shop owner Brett Meech takes us inside his 215-year-old seaside home in Mader’s Cove, just outside Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. “I desired to honour the home’s history while generating my very own personal design,” states Brett. From a sun parlor influenced by Martha Stewart’s kitchen, total with baskets hung from the ceiling, to cosy, split areas loaded with valued collections, every room has its very own character. Among Brett’s favorite finds are antique mixing bowls and kitchenware he’s been accumulating given that childhood, as well as nautical-themed paintings and sketches that line the staircase to the top flooring. And also, step inside his Lunenburg shop Conifer Shop, where he brings with each other old and brand-new, from vintages sourced around the globe to Canadian-made furniture.
