Donald Trump is raving– once again– this time over questions about his wellness, branding standard reporting as “treasonous” and urging, loudly, that everything concerning him is “perfect.” His manic overreaction informs a deeper story. Journalist and author John Casey traces Trump’s addiction back to the original source code: Roy Cohn. From scorched-earth strikes to the outright rejection to confess weakness– especially physical weak point– Trump is still running by Cohn’s harsh rules. The outcome is a national politics developed on denial, staged prominence, and the illusion of invincibility, where openness is treated as dishonesty and vulnerability as an existential danger. Due to the fact that when Trump overcompensates this hard, it’s generally the clearest indication that something is really, extremely incorrect.
