July 27 is the tenth anniversary of the death of talented comic artist Richard Thompson. His terrible death at age of 58 was a wonderful loss to the field of illustration in addition to a personal loss to the numerous pals and admirers who loved him dearly.
I always delighted in Richard’s sketch of presidential candidate and company exec H. Ross Perot, among the extremely initially straight of plutocrats encouraged that their company smart qualified them to control everybody else. Richard drew this for The New Yorker.
