Ukraine’s foreign minister has called Russia’s upcoming presidency of the UN security council the ‘worst joke ever’.

From 1 April, it will be Russia’s turn to take up the monthly presidency of the 15-member council, in line with a rotation that has been unaffected by the Ukraine war.
Dmytro Kuleba said: ‘You cannot image a worse joke for April Fools’ Day … The country that systemically violated all fundamental rules of international security is presiding over a body whose only mission is to safeguard and protect international security’.
