Oh, “The Patriot” really is just the gift that keeps on giving! Not merely from a historical perspective, although of course that’s a big part of it, but from a narrative one as well. In this video I do a deep dive into one of its more throwaway, “comedic relief” scenes. When you really look into it, it’s certainly a laughable part of the film…just not for the reasons the creators hoped!
