NASA recently posted an unusual photo online that went viral… the Sun looking like a Jack O’Lantern. But some people wonder if this could be a dangerous sign. Seen in ultraviolet light, the dark patches on the Sun are known as coronal holes and are regions where fast solar wind gushes out into space. It may happen when the Sun is “resting” a little. Let’s try to find out how bad it is for our Earth.
